Overview

PGS series outdoor pole mounted SF6 insulated load switches are suitable for pole mounting.
PGS Series Outdoor Column Mounted SF6 Insulated Load Switches, suitable for column mounting, rated voltage 12/24/40.5kV, rated current 400A, 630A, 50/60Hz The PGS series of outdoor column mounted SF6 insulated load switches are suitable for column mounting, rated voltage 12/24/40.5kV, rated current 400A, 630A, 50/60Hz Switching, shutting off load currents, overload currents of the power distribution system, and are able to automatically isolate the faulty sections of the power distribution line. The switches are equipped with the latest technology electronic controller, which can be operated manually, electrically and from a distance. The electronic controller is housed in a stainless steel case and is suitable for all climatic conditions. In addition, wired and wireless modems can be installed in the enclosure for remote monitoring and control. Simple on-column mounting arrangement is convenient and fast, reducing construction costs.

Environmental conditions
This SF6 gas load switch is adapted to the operating conditions:
1 Ambient temperature
1.1 Ambient air temperature: upper limit +50℃, lower limit -40℃.
1.2 Relative humidity: 100%.
2 Altitude not exceeding 1000m; 2000m; 3500m (as requested by the user at the time of ordering). The requirement of 1000m is not proposed as a general requirement.)
3 Wind pressure does not exceed 700pa (equivalent to wind speed 34m/s).
4 Earthquake intensity: 8 degrees.
5 Installation place: no fire, explosion danger, no chemical corrosion and frequent violent vibration.
6 Dirt level: Class Ⅲ, Class Ⅳ.

Characteristics
1 SF6 gas insulation
1.1 SF6 gas is a non-toxic, non-flammable electrical insulating gas with excellent arc extinguishing properties.
2 Casing diversity
2.1 In addition to standard ceramic casings, a variety of options are available, including rubber insulators on epoxy equipment casings.
3 Visible disconnection/closure status
3.1 The color-coded main contact position indicator (green open; red closed) is easily visible when standing on the ground. This indicator is directly connected to the main contact drive shaft assembly to ensure an accurate indication of the contact status.
4 Quick operation
4.1 The spring-loaded operating mechanism ensures fast closing and opening operations (less than 100 ms).
5 Remote control possible
5.1 An electronic controller is available for both local operation and main console operation via the FTU interface.
6 Robust switch
6.1 The switches are made of proven rugged, corrosion-resistant materials (warship-specific 304L stainless steel plate), ensuring a long service life (20 years) and the ability to perform a wide range of operations with the desirable characteristics of column-mounted equipment.
7 Standards
7.1 Each switch is filled with SF6 gas, sealed, and tested according to IEC60265-1 (1988) and GB3804-1990 before shipment.
